ֲýAnnounces President-Elect for 2021 ? 2022

Kimberly N. Frazier, Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Rehabilitation & Counseling at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-New Orleans (LSUHSC-NO), has been elected President-Elect of the ֲý (ACA) for 2021 – 2022. She will begin her term as ֲýPresident-Elect on July 1, 2021 and will begin serving as the ֲý’s 71st president on July 1, 2022.

Dr. Frazier is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

She is a member of the Association for Multicultural Counseling and currently serve as parliamentarian, chair of the ethics committee and an ad-hoc reviewer for the Journal of the Association of Multicultural Counseling and Development. Dr. Frazier is also a past president of the Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development (AMCD) and has served as an ֲýGoverning Council Representative. 

“I am honored to work with counseling professionals who are passionate about the counseling profession as well as specific sub-areas where I share their interest,” said Dr. Frazier. “These three components— diversity in leadership, clinician involvement and representation, and student involvement and representation—are the life-blood of the organization that will keep ֲýfresh with ideas and mirror the principles the organization was founded.”

Dr. Frazier earned a PhD in Counselor Education from the University of New Orleans.
