The �ֲ���ý supports every citizen’s right to inform our republic and make their voice heard through voting.

To this end, �ֲ���ýoffices will be closed on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in order to allow all �ֲ���ýstaff ample opportunity to exercise this critical right without distraction or concerns of the workplace.

�ֲ���ýacknowledges that our nation has been fraught with extraordinary crises throughout this year –and many voters see this election as something upon which the future of bigger picture issues such as climate change, immigration and racial justice rests. A  found that 83% of registered voters say it really matters who wins the presidency— an increase from the 74% of voters who said the same thing four years ago and the highest share of voters saying this in two decades of Pew Research Center surveys. “We find ourselves in unprecedented times and life doesn’t seem to have any semblance to the world we lived in prior to the pandemic. Many of us feel powerless,” said Dr. Lynn Linde, ACA’s Chief Knowledge and Learning Officer.  “An empowered thing we can do is to vote.  By voting, we are exerting some control over our lives and making our voices heard; and that can give us hope for the future.”
