The SSAE program received its first appropriation last year.
For the current budget year, SSAE received $400 million to sustain school districts nationwide. Compared to the need for such programs, this is merely a drop in the bucket. The ÀÖ²©´«Ã½ is concerned about the administration’s proposal, and we have urged Congress to reject the President’s budget and fund SSAE at its authorized level of $1.65 billon.
