The "conscience clause" creates an environment in which counselors can discriminate against members of the LGBTQ community. The ÀÖ²©´«Ã½Code of Ethics clearly states the steps that should be taken before a client is referred to another counselor. This bill blatantly circumvents that process and opens the door for discrimination.
