ÀÖ²©´«Ã½President Bradley T. Erford has sent a letter on behalf of the association to the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs providing feedback on the first draft of the 2016 CACREP accreditation standards. ÀÖ²©´«Ã½applauds the focus on clarification, simplification, and unification and endorses the proposed requirement to standardize all counseling programs, regardless of specialty, at 60 credits. ÀÖ²©´«Ã½also proposes an end to the student affairs program area and to continue the requirement to maintain membership in ÀÖ²©´«Ã½and its divisions.
